Goal by Ibrahimovic Puts Barça in Front of Spanish League

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s second-half goal gave Barcelona a 1-0 win at Mallorca on Saturday and a three-point lead over Real Madrid atop the Spanish League.

Ibrahimovic’s 15th league goal put Barcelona ahead in the 63rd minute. Barcelona prepared for its midweek Champions League match at Arsenal by putting the pressure on Madrid, which will need to win the derby against Atletico Madrid on Sunday to keep pace with the defending champions.

Lionel Messi, the league’s leading scorer with 25 goals, was held scoreless for the second consecutive game after coming on for Andres Iniesta in the 51st minute.

SCOTLAND The Rangers coasted to a 4-1 victory at Hearts to stay on track for a second consecutive Scottish Premier League title.

The Rangers are 10 points ahead of Celtic, whose first game under interim manager Neil Lennon ended in a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock. Celtic has played two games more than its Glasgow rival.

Danny Wilson scored his first goal for the Rangers after just four minutes. Suso Santana leveled for Hearts, but Kenny Miller put the Rangers back in front 31 minutes before Steven Naismith’s second-half double put the visitors in control.

Robbie Keane scored twice for Celtic to take his tally to 11 goals in 11 games since arriving on loan from Tottenham in the January transfer window. Scott Brown added Celtic’s third before the Kilmarnock captain Craig Bryson scored a consolation.
